Perennial Garden

Zone Description

The entire garden is planted with perennials and done in such a way that there is seasonal interest due to the different bloom times from the hundreds of varieties of plants in the garden. We have shown this smaller area on our map to be able to show the water use needed to maintain perennial areas that may be similar to your yard. Of course, there are other plant materials including trees and shrubs in this and all areas of the garden as well. This area is irrigated by 3 separate irrigation zones, all consisting of point source drip irrigation (emitters directed at each plant). There are some plants in this area that have been growing for many years, others are new in the last year. If you visit multiple times through the year and see the garden change and the focal points move based on plant bloom.
