Siberian Iris
Painted Desert’ Siberian Iris (Iris sibirica) looks elegant in every landscape with dark purple-blue flowers. The delicate, papery flowers bloom profusely atop the grass-like foliage in late spring and early summer. With flowers as showy as these, it’s easy to see why butterflies and hummingbirds can’t seem to stay away! Thankfully, deer and rabbits don’t like this plant quite as much. Plant this iris in rain gardens, near bogs, or along the water’s edge.
