Deep rooted, dark green, cool season perennial turf grass. Tolerates some shade, foot traffic and recovers well after drought. Does best in well drained clay soils. Uses less water than Kentucky bluegrass with a similar look. Tall-fescue leaf blades are generally more coarse but this variety was grown for a finer texture. Best kept cut at 3 inches or longer.
