This is a mat-forming succulent perennial forming attractive, evergreen rosettes with thick, fleshy, bright green leaves adorned with dark, burgundy tips. As the temperatures cool, the entrie rosette darkens to a lovely pruplish-bronze for showy fall color. The mother rosette spreads in all directions by horizontal stems to form offsets. Each offset will develop roots of tis own and become independend of the parent plant as the connecting stolon withers. In the summer a thick flowering stalk arises from the center of the hen rosette and bears showy starry, white flowers.
