Crataegus laevigata 'Paul Scarlet' is a small, low-branching, deciduous tree with a dense rounded crown of ascending , stiff, zig-zag branches. Branches are well armed with thorns and clad with glossy, dark green leaves. Blooms in mid to late spring and are followed by vivid red fruits in fall. No fall color.
